WDA CC championships set for Oct. 14

BISMARCK – WDA cross country teams will begin postseason competition this Saturday, Oct. 14 with the conference meet held at McDowell Dam Recreation Area, east of Bismarck. Races begin at 1 p.m.  Williston is the defending champion in both divisions. Bismarck High will be a strong contender in both 5,000 meter races as well. In the girls' division, Legacy and Minot High figured to be in the mix for a high finish. In the boys' race, Minot High and Century will be battling along with the aforementioned Williston and Bismarck High.  The race will also feature some of the top individual runners in the state. The top 20 finishers earn all-WDA honors. The last time Bismarck hosted the WDA Championships was 2020.  Since this is a postseason event, there will be an admission fee to watch the races and a JV division will be conducted.
