Nine to watch on the pitch this season

BISMARCK -- The 2024 WDA boys’ soccer season is underway and it should promise to be another exciting season. Here’s a look at nine players who will be difference makers for their respective team on the pitch.

Taryn Theurer: Bismarck High
The junior is described as the “glue” in the middle of the field and provides a strong presence for the Demons. He’s a complete player who possess offensive skills to complement his defensive role.

Cale McEvers: Bismarck Century
The sophomore saw valuable minutes as a back row player for the Patriots a season ago. His vision and great footwork enabled him to defend well and move the play up this his teammates.

Kamden Kooiman, Bismarck Legacy
The senior possess great versatility with who can defend the middle of the field as well as create offense through is passing and shot-making. He was the second-leading scorer in conference matches in 2023.

Jaxon Braun, Dickinson
The junior midfielder posseses good technical skills. The captain’s strong work ethic and positive attitude make provide a great example for the Midgets’ young group of players.

Iddi Ramadhani, Jamestown
The senior was one of the most dynamic offensive players a season ago and among the top scorers in the conference. He shines from his midfielder position where his ballhandling, quickness and vision makes him a threat to score on every rush.

Parker Vander Vorst, Mandan-St. Mary’s
The senior was the top playmaker on the squad at the midfielder position a season ago, posting four assists. He’s expected to play a bigger role in the Braves’ pursuit of a higher finish in the standings.

Sam Echanis, Minot High
The senior possesses a high soccer IQ and can be very dynamic in the midfield with his quickness. He’s expected to play a larger role in the Magi’s offensive this season.

Emerson Ries, Minot North
The junior will be relied upon for his defensive skills in the middle of the field. Organizing his teammates into position and communication are among his strengths as a leader on the young team.

Joaquin Pulido, Williston
The junior was a key player in the Coyote offensive attack a season ago. He tied the school mark in goals with six. His athleticism makes him a valuable part of Williston’s lineup.
