Mandan, Minot High lead way at Round Robin Tournament

MINOT – WDA preseason favorite Mandan had an impressive showing at the annual Minot Round Robin Tournament on Aug. 22. The Braves had the top player at No. 1, 2 and 3 singles as well as No. 2 doubles. Defending West Region singles champion Jared Christen went 7-0 at (1) singles. Matthew Christen went 7-0 at (2) singles and Ben Sayler went 6-1 at (3) singles. Mandan's Donovan Birdine and Eli Kleinknecht went 7-0 at (2) doubles.  Legacy picked up the other division win, taking first in No. 1 doubles. The pair of Connor Svihovec and Braxton Spooner posted a 7-0 record at (1) doubles. The tournament was held at Hammond Park and all eight conference teams participated. RESULTS
