Glines is new coach for Minot High girls' swim-dive program

MINOT – Minot High School has officially named Heather Glines as the new head coach for the Girls Swim & Dive team. Glines, a native of Wahpeton, brings a wealth of experience to the Majettes program, both as a former competitive swimmer and as a coach.

Glines's swimming career began in Wahpeton, where she was a member of both the club and high school swim teams. During her high school years, she achieved notable success as a multi-event state qualifier and earned all-conference honors twice. Following her graduation, Glines attended the University of North Dakota, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and later a Master's in Administration from the University of Mary.

After completing her education, Glines returned to Wahpeton, where she taught 2nd grade for five years. During this time, she also contributed to the sport of swimming, initially serving as an assistant coach for the Breckenridge Wahpeton Swim Team before taking on the role of head coach for the high school team for three years. In addition to her coaching duties, Glines will be teaching 2nd grade at South Prairie Elementary School in Minot. She expressed enthusiasm for joining the Minot High community, stating her intent to honor the team's legacy while introducing fresh ideas to the program.
