BISMARCK – The 2024 boys' soccer season will be the 30th for the Western Dakota Association and it comes with a few changes. Minot North begins varsity play to expand the conference to nine teams. A double round robin schedule is in place (16 matches). As a result of increased number of WDA matches, and a desire to play just two matches per week; conference officials have decided to discontinue the WDA postseason tournament. Instead, the top four finishers in the standings will qualify for the ND state tournament, Oct. 10-12, in Grand Forks. Another noteworthy change is Mandan and St. Mary's are now a shared co-op and will be referred to as “Mandan-St. Mary's”. The regular season will begin for several teams on Aug. 16.
