2023 fall postseason dates are set

BISMARCK – The 2023-24 fall postseason championship schedule is finalized as the start of the new sports season is just days away. The fall championship schedule features 15 postseason events.  It begins in late September with the West Region girls' golf tournament to be hosted by Bismarck's Tom O'Leary G.C.. The Class A state tournament is a week later and hosted by Grand Forks Public Schools. 

The WDA boys' soccer tournament will be held the first weekend in October and hosted by Bismarck Public Schools. Bismarck will host the ND state tournament as well a week later.

 The West Region boys' tennis tournament will be hosted by Mandan for the first time and is set for the first weekend of October. The state event is the following week in Grand Forks.

Bismarck Public School will host the WDA boys' and girls' cross country championships at McDowell Dam Recreation Area east of Bismarck. The Class A Meet will be Oct. 28 at Jamestown's Parkhurst Recreation Area.

The state AA and A football playoffs begin on Oct. 27 with quarterfinal action at the higher seed. The semifinals will be hosted by the remaining two higher playoff seeds on Nov. 3. The Dakota Bowl will be held at the Fargodome on Nov. 10.

Bismarck will host the WDA girls' swim-dive championships on Nov. 3 and the ND state championships the following weekend. 

The West Region Volleyball Tournament is being held at Bismarck High's Karlgaard Gymnasium, Nov. 9-11. Play-in round matches will take place the week before. The Class A Tournament is hosted by Fargo, Nov. 16-18.
