MINOT - Minot High struck fast, scoring in the opening minute and then added two more first half goals on its way to a 5-1 WDA victory on Sept. 22 at Duane Carlson Stadium. David Rodriguez scored three goals, including two in the first half. Tayson Solper scored and assisted on Rodriguez's opening marker. Grayson Steele set up a pair of goals. Williston got its goal in the second half by Diego Vizcaya at the 62nd minute mark. With the victory, Minot (9-0-2) secured a spot in next month's ND state tournament. The Magi will turn its attention now to clinching the WDA regular season title. The Coyotes fell to 2-7-2 Looking ahead, Williston will face Dickinson on September 24. Minot will also meet Dickinson in their next match on September 26, aiming to maintain their perfect record.
