Minot defeats Legacy, 1-0
September 19, 2026 · Boys Soccer · WDA Sports
MINOT - Dylan Oswalt's penalty kick tally in the 53rd minute was the lone marker and the WDA-leading Magi extended its unbeaten streak to 10 matches with a 1-0 victory over visiting Legacy on Sept. 19 at Duane Carlson Stadium. Minot High is 8-0-2 overall and in league play. Legacy, dropped, to 1-7-3 in conference and overall.
If there is a hardluck award to hand out in the WDA this season, the Sabers would be the winner. Legacy has lost three, 0-1 decisions this season, and has allowed just 15 goals in 11 matches. Unfortunately, scoring has been a bug-a-boo for the squad.
Minot High goalkeeper Honour Amsbury made five stops to earn a shutout. James Erickson had 12 saves for the Sabers.
Looking ahead, Legacy will face Minot North, who hold a 3-5-2 WDA record, on September 22. Minot is set to play against Dickinson, currently 2-6-2 in the WDA, on September 26.
