JAMESTOWN - The Williston Coyotes secured their first win of the season with an 8-1 victory over the Jamestown Blue Jays on September 4, 2026. Williston improved to 1-2 in the Western Dakota Association and 1-7 overall, while Jamestown fell to 0-2 in the conference and 0-7 overall.
Aden Oettle provided the highlight for Jamestown, winning at No. 1 singles. Despite Oettle's efforts, the Coyotes dominated the remaining matches. Three of Williston's victories required a decisive third set, showcasing their resilience and determination.
Williston's depth was on display as they swept the doubles matches and clinched several hard-fought singles victories. The Coyotes' balanced team effort was key to their success.
Looking ahead, Jamestown will face West Fargo Sheyenne, who are yet to play this season, on September 5. Williston will also meet West Fargo Sheyenne in their next match on September 11.
