MINOT - Jamestown and Minot played to a 1-1 draw in the Western Dakota Association opener on August 14. Both teams start the season with a 0-0-1 record and gained a point in the standings.
The Magicians struck first with a goal at the 22nd minute by Matthew Wistisen. Jamestown quickly answered with a goal by Noah Lorenz. Both goaltenders played strong, allowing just one goal. Conditions were wet, making for a challenge match offensively.
