Minot defeats Dickinson, 4-1

MINOT - Minot erased an early one-goal defict, by striking for three first half goals en route to a 4-1 victory over Dickinson in WDA play at Duane Carlson Stadium on Aug. 18. Dickinson, making its season debut, enjoyed an early advantage on Wilmer Molero's goal. However, Minot stormed back with three goals in the half. Two came off the foot of Callen Hoewt. Matthew Wistisen also score. Ethan Hanson's tally midway through the second half completed the scoring. The Magi kept the Dickinson goalkeepers busy, generating 15 shots on frame. Dickinson put three on goal.
Minot improved to 1-0-1 overall and 1-0-1 in WDA play. Dickinson dropped to 0-1-0 overall and in conference matches.
Looking ahead, Dickinson will face Legacy, who are also seeking their first win, on August 20. Minot will prepare to take on Minot North, currently undefeated, on August 25.
