GRAND FORKS - Grand Forks Central found a way to keep Watford City's triple-option running game at bay, and the Knights score a couple of first quarter TDs en route to a 38-21 win over the Wolves in Division AA non-conference play on Sept. 18 at Cushman Field. Central improved to 3-1 overall. Watford City now stands at 2-2 for the season.

The key sequence came late in the second half when the Knights managed to get a scoring strike in the final seconds to go up 23-8. GFC would score again in the third to stretch its lead. Watford City had three players score rushing TDs. Leading rusher Rhylie Ledahl-Berger, Trysten DeVries and Brogan Shannon scored. Both teams will begin conference play next week. Watford City will face unbeaten Dickinson.
