Century defeats St. Mary's, 3-1

BISMARCK - Century maintained its perfect record in Western Dakota Association play with a 3-1 victory over St. Mary's on September 10 at SMCHS Tony Wald Court. The Pats improed to 4-0 in conference and 6-4 overall. St. Mary's, despite a strong start, fell to 0-4 in WDA and 3-7 overall.
The Saints captured the opening set, but the Patriots responded with three consecutive set wins. Parker Lutman led Century with a team-best 16 kills, showcasing her offensive prowess. Century's two-setter system was on full display with Sierra Blotsky contributing 22 assists and Kenley Melby adding 18.
St. Mary's was bolstered by Cloey Kraljic's performance, who recorded seven kills and four blocks. Defensive efforts were highlighted by Sophie Schlinger, who finished with 15 digs. Maggie Meyer supported the offense with 11 assists for the Saints.
Century will look to continue their winning streak against Legacy, who holds a 3-1 WDA record, on September 15. St. Mary's will aim for their first conference win when they face Williston, currently 1-3 in WDA play, on the same date.
