JAMESTOWN - It appeared there Dickinson and Jamestown were headed for a scoreless draw in its WDA contest on Tuesday, Aug. 25. There was zeroes on the board for the better part of 65 minutes. But Dickinson would strike for a pair of goals from Xavier Twist and Amze Toure. Jamestown would quickly answer back with one of its own off the leg of Grady Eckart. However, the Mavericks' defense would not surrender a second and Dickinson picked up a 2-1 road win. The victory was the squad's first over Jamestown since 2021 and the three points in the league standings meant all eight WDA teams have at least two points. Next up, Dickinson will face Mandan-St. Mary's, who are 1-0-1 overall, on August 27. Jamestown will look to bounce back against Century, currently 1-1, on September 1.
