MINOT - Jamestown's Grady Eckart's found the back of the goal with just eight seconds remaining to help the Blue Jays salvage a tie with Minot North and salvage a point in the WDA standings on Thursday, Aug. 18 at Sentinel Stadium. Minot North held much of the territorial advantage in the opening half, putting 11 shots on goal. Senior Logan Orvitt staked the Sentinals to a 1-0 lead with a goal in the final minute.

Jamestown Noah Lorenz tied the match early in the second half and it appeared that would be all the scoring before some late offensive fireworks. Ovitt's second goal in the 77th minute regained the lead for North before Eckart's shot rifled past the Sentinel goalkeeper. It was Jamestown's second tie of the season. Minot North, meanwhile, stayed unbeaten and atop the standings. Both teams will look to build on this performance in their upcoming matches. Jamestown will face Dickinson on August 25. Minot North is set to take on crosstown rival Minot High on August 25.
