BISMARCK - Bismarck edged out Legacy 1-0 in a tightly-contested boys soccer match on September 8 at Sanford Sports Complex, improving to 3-2 in the Western Dakota Association and 4-2 overall. Legacy fell to 1-3 in both conference and overall play.

The decisive moment came in the 35th minute when senior Camren Haase converted a penalty kick, putting Bismarck on the board. The goal proved to be the only score in a game marked by strong defensive efforts from both sides.

Bismarck's Ean Marcus stopped all seven shots and picked up his first shutout of the season. Legacy keeper James Erickson was busy, making 16 saves.

Bismarck will look to continue their momentum against Jamestown, who are currently 0-5, on September 10. Legacy will aim to bounce back when they face Century, holding a 4-1 record, on the same day.
