KINDRED - Top-ranked Kindred showcased its offensive and defensive prowess for a third week, defeating St. Mary's, 58-7, on Sept. 11 at Kindred High School. The win improved Kindred's record to 3-0 overall, while St. Mary's fell to 1-3.

Quarterback Jackson Schlieman led the charge for Kindred, throwing a pair of touchdown passes and collecting 109 yards passing. Brock Johnson threw another TD, covering 33 yards. Kindred standouts Brooks Bakko and Luke Starcevic were key targets, each securing a touchdown reception to bolster the offensive effort.

On defense, Kindred surrendered just one score. That coming in the fourth quarter when senior QB Tommy Wilson connected with Derek Martel for a 20-yard touchdown pass. The squad has allowed just 14 points in three weeks of play and have won the past two games in the series. Next up, St. Mary's will face Wahpeton, who are currently 0-3, for its Homecoming on September 18. Kindred will look to continue their unbeaten run against Jamestown, who hold a 1-2 record, also on September 18.
