BISMARCK - Fargo Davies had 2:48 left on the clock when it took over the ball, trailing 28-23 to Bismarck High. For a run-orientated, ball-possession team, this wasn't ideal for the Eagles. However, Fargo Davies opened up its playbook, and quarterback Tucker Kosen completed two big passes, leading the squad to a game-winning drive. The play of the game was Kosen's 16-yard completion to Brody Vetter in the corner of the end zone with 26 seconds to play. BHS managed to move the ball down field and give kicker Drew Haberlock a shot. However, the 56-yard field goal attempt was short and Davies prevailed 29-28 in non-conference action on Sept. 18 at MDU Resources Community Bowl.

Fargo Davies led 16-7 at halftime, thanks in large part to Bennett Zimmers. He rushed for a pair of scores. The third quarter belonged to the Demons. Brady Ennent busted up the middle and outran Eagle defenders for a 55-yard spring to the end zone. BHS then took its first lead when Izaya Dockter scooped up a fumble forced by teammate Weston Scott and rumbled 75 yards for a score. Davies regained its lead on a Kosen QB sneak on fourth down. However, the Demons answered on Scott's 10-yard reception on a rollout by QB Kaden Molenda. It appeared that would be the final tally, but the Eagles had other ideas.

Bismarck (3-1) will look to bounce back against Minot (0-4) in the WDA opener on Sept 25.
