BELCOURT - TMCHS (Belcourt) secured a hard-fought victory over North Prairie with a 3-2 win in a thrilling five-set match. TMCHS improved to 2-2 overall.
After losing the opening set, TMCHS dug in and put together two solid sets to take command of the match. However, the Cougars battled back to force a fifth, and deciding match. The Braves responded to the pressure, securing the two-point win. Irelei Zerr had a fantastic match, leading her squad with 16 kills and 28 digs. Bayleigh Chase had five blocks. Thailyn Poitra registered four aces and Kamara Poitra's 19 assists kept the offense in gear.
TMCHS (Belcourt) will next face Dunseith, who are yet to play a match this season, on September 21.
