ST. JOHN - TMCHS (Belcourt) earned its first win of the season, sweeping neighboring St. John on Sept. 14.
Senior Irelei Zerr was the catalyst for the Braves, finishing with a team-high 18 kills and 35 digs. Thailyn Poitra also was strong at the net with eight kills and three blocks. Kamara Poitra finished with 14 assists. The squad put up nine aces with Winter Day, leading with four. TMCHS improved to 1-2 overall in Division A play. TMCHS (Belcourt) will look to continue their momentum as they face Rolla on September 17.
