JAMESTOWN - Legacy forced a fifth, and deciding set in its showdown with Jamestown on Sept. 8 at JHS Jerry Meyer Arena. However, the host Blue Jays would wrestle away the momentum and earn a thrilling 3-2 win over Legacy in WDA play on Sept. 8. The match featured two teams which were unbeaten in the conference. Legacy took the opening set before Jamestown would win two in a row.

The Blue Jays received a big-time performance from Lucy Falk, who finished with a match-high 33 kills. She added 11 digs. Teammate Hannah Attleson also was on her game, finishing with 52 assists. Claire Iverson provided some strong net play with six blocks. Legacy also had some big-time contributors. Brooklyn Pudwill had 19 kills. Claire Brendel provided 48 assists and Marlee Falcon had six blocks. Jamestown improved to 3-0 in the WDA and 7-2 overall, while Legacy moved to 2-1 in the WDA and 5-4 overall.

Looking ahead, Jamestown will face Dickinson on September 10, while Legacy prepares to take on Bismarck, who are currently undefeated in WDA play.
