BISMARCK - Legacy secured a significant conference victory over rival Century with a 3-0 sweep on Sept. 15 at LHS Haussler Gymnasium. The Sabers improved their record to 7-4 overall and 4-1 in the WDA. Century now stands at 6-5 overall and 4-1 in the WDA.

Senior Brooklyn Pudwill led the Sabers with 11 kills, providing a solid offense at the net. Marlee Falcon and Finley Fettig also had good hitting games, finishing with nine and eight kills, respectively. Zoe Flemmer orchestrated the attack with 29 assists. On the defensive end, Sammy Watson contributed with a team-high 16 digs. Century, meawhile, had Parker Lutman's sound game which featured 12 kills and 13 digs. Kenley Melby facilitated Century's plays with 15 assists. The first set was a nailbiter, decided by just two points. Legacy prevailed more comfortably in the final two sets.

Legacy looks to continue their momentum against Williston (3-3 WDA, 4-8 overall) on September 17. Century will aim to bounce back when they face Bismarck (4-1 WDA, 9-2 overall) on the same day.
