Mandan defeats Dickinson, 3-1

DICKINSON - Mandan won the first two sets and then held off Dickinson's bid to climb back into the match, defeating the Mavericks, 3-1, in WDA play on Sept. 15. Mandan improved to 2-3 in the WDA and 6-5 overall. Dickinson fell to 0-5 in the WDA and 1-10 overall.
Mandan started quick, posting 25-19 and 25-13 victories in sets one and two. AnnaClaire Bugbee had a team-high 10 kills. Hadley Harris was good in the back row with 27 digs. Sierra Gustavsson got the offense in rythm with 28 assists. Kennedy Keller had an all-around game with nine kills, 15 digs and four aces.Dickinson received a solid game from Claire Rodakowski who finished with 13 kills and five digs. Emily Grinsteiner was sharp on her serves, posting six aces. In fact the Mavericks posted 11 for the match.
Mandan will face Minot North (3-2 WDA, 5-6 overall) on September 17, while Dickinson will meet St. Mary's (0-5 WDA, 3-8 overall) on the same day.
