CASSELTON - For the second time in four seasons, Dickinson has started the season at 4-0. The Mavericks picked up its fourth win, defeating Central Cass, 16-14, in a battle that was scoreless at the half on Sept. 18. It was just the second-ever meeting between the teams and each now has a victory.

Senior quarterback Nathan Stevenson rush for a score and then connected on a pass play with Paxton Lyson. Stevenson finished with 145 yards on 8 of 15 passing. Rusher Wyatt Turner gained 124 yards on 32 carries. Stevenon added 42 on 12 carries. Jesse Hammond had three receptons for 78 yards. The Mavericks last started the season at 4-0 in 2023. That squad reached the postseason, but fell in the opening round. This year's team hopes for a longer season.

Next, Dickinson will open Division AA West Region play against Watford City, who holds a 2-2 overall record, on September 25.
