DICKINSON - Dickinson continued its strong start to the season with a commanding 57-8 victory over rival Williston on Sept. 4 at the Biesiot Activities Center. The Mavericks racked up three touchdown in each of the first two quarters. Quarterback Nathan Stevenson threw for 141 yards on 10 of 15 passing and three scores. Drew Glasser added 52 yards throwing on three completions and a TD. Wyatt Turner rushed for 66 yards on nine carries. The Mavericks racked up 302 total yards of offense.

Dickinson's defense held an opponent to just one score for a second week in a row. Williston's touchdown came on an 11-yard reception from standout receiver Leo Kendor in the second quarter. The Coyotes had just 124 yards of total offense. The win improved Dickinson to 2-0 overall while Williston dropped to 0-2.

Williston will look to bounce back against Watford City (0-1 overall) on September 11, while Dickinson prepares to face Grand Forks Central (1-0 overall) on the same day.
