WILLISTON - Bismarck High clinched at least a share of the WDA regular season title, but more importantly, the West's top seed for the Division AAA playoffs following its 42-6 win on Oct. 15 at WHS Legends Field. The Demons improved to 4-0 in the WDA and 7-1 overall, while the Coyotes remain winless at 0-4 in the conference and 0-8 overall.
Quarterback Kaden Molenda threw a pair of short touchdown passes and the BHS ground game chewed up the clock and yards with long possessions. Cole Lardy had a pair of first half scoring runs. Braxton Dutchuk and Matthew Bauman had rushing TDs as well.
The Coyotes' standout Leo Kendor scored on a 50-yard reception from Noah Rath for the lone Williston TD. Rath completed 13 passes for 157 yards. Next, Bismarck will face Century, who stands at 2-2 in the WDA and 2-6 overall, on October 22. Williston will look to regroup against Minot, who shares their current record of 0-4 in the WDA and 0-8 overall, also on October 22.
