WEST FARGO - Century saw another close non-conference battle go the other way. The Patriots and West Fargo were tied 14-14, but the host Packers made one more play, scoring its third passing TD of the game to secure a 21-14 win on Sept. 18 at WFHS Field. For Century, it marked the fourth game decided by seven points or less. West Fargo, meanwhile, evened its mark at 4-4.

WF quarterback Ryan Camarillo threw a trio of scoring passes. Two coming to standout Wyatt Knudsen. Joaquin Valdez reeled in the game-winner. Century top runner Carter Wylde rushed for 128 yards and a score. Receiver Zakai Harildstad caught a pass from Kaden Welstad to tie the game before the second quarter ended.

Century will look to turn all those close calls into wins once conference season begins on Sept. 25 against Mandan.
