BISMARCK - West Fargo edged Bismarck in a thrilling five-set match, 3-2, in the state tournament quarterfinals. West Fargo improved to 9-2 overall, while Bismarck's record now stands at 21-15.
Ellee McIntosh led West Fargo with a standout performance, recording 21 kills and contributing significantly on defense with 17 digs. Harper Odden orchestrated the offense with 23 assists, while Raina Chwialkowski anchored the defense with 34 digs.
Bismarck's Rosalyn Brunelle was a key offensive player, tallying 13 kills. Aspen Roaldson was impressive with 45 assists and 33 digs, showcasing her all-around capabilities. Taylor Mayer added pressure with three service aces.
West Fargo advances to face Bismarck Century on November 22. Bismarck will play Jamestown on November 21 in the consolation bracket.
