MINOT - Minot North edged out Central Cass 21-17 in a thrilling quarterfinal playoff matchup, maintaining their perfect record at 11-0 while Central Cass concluded their season at 7-4.
Minot North's Brayden Blikre was instrumental, completing 16 of 22 passes for 210 yards and two touchdowns. Will Bentley was a key target, catching both of Blikre's touchdown passes, including the game-winning 8-yard reception in the fourth quarter.
Christian Deadmond led Minot North's ground game with 60 yards on 16 carries, helping to control the clock and keep the Central Cass defense on the field. Defensively, Cameron Jesz and Gavin Tobey each recorded an interception, stifling Central Cass's attempts to rally.
With this victory, Minot North advances to the AA Dakota Bowl for the first time in program history, setting up a historic opportunity for the team.
