BISMARCK - Bismarck Century advanced to the Dakota Bowl with a 21-13 victory over Bismarck Legacy in the state semifinal, improving to 9-2 overall and 5-0 in the WDA. Legacy ended their season at 7-4 overall and 3-2 in the WDA.
Century's Noah Herr was pivotal, completing 11 of 18 passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Herr also contributed on the ground with 84 rushing yards and a touchdown. His 38-yard touchdown pass to Isaac Bachmeier in the third quarter gave Century a lead they wouldn't relinquish.
Legacy's Yusuf Jama was a standout, rushing for 131 yards on 24 carries and scoring on a 2-yard run. Despite his efforts, Legacy's offense was stifled in the second half, unable to add to their 13-point first-half total.
Century's defense held strong, securing their ninth consecutive win and their first Dakota Bowl appearance since 2022. Legacy, making their first semifinal appearance, showed promise but fell short against a seasoned Century squad.
