GRAND FORKS - Bismarck Legacy secured a 3-2 victory over Minot in the state tournament's fifth-place match, finishing their season with a 18-6 overall record and a perfect 7-0 in the Western Dakota Association. Minot concluded their season with an 18-8 overall record and 5-2 in the WDA.
In singles play, Connor Svihovec led Legacy with a commanding 6-1, 6-0 win over Nolan Moore. Oliver Thompson also contributed with a 6-4, 6-2 victory against Declan Hosek, while Kevin Kalb sealed the singles sweep for Legacy by defeating Owen Sundahl 6-3, 6-4.
Minot found success in the doubles matches. The pair of Connor Ressler and Henrik Evanoff battled through a tough match, ultimately winning 3-6, 7-6, 12-10 against Braxton Spooner and Carter Madison. However, Legacy's Andrew Jones and Brady Jones secured the overall win with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Tyson Barden and Calvin Olson.
Bismarck Legacy's strong singles performances were pivotal in their fifth-place finish, marking a successful end to their season.
