GRAND FORKS - Grand Forks Red River edged Bismarck Legacy 3-2 in the state tournament quarterfinals. Legacy ended their season with a 16-7 record, while Red River improved to 3-0 overall.

In singles play, Julian Mallory of Red River secured a decisive victory over Declan Hosek, winning 6-0, 6-1. Carter Madison of Legacy claimed a win against Cullen Rost with a score of 7-5, 6-3.

The doubles matches saw a split as well. Connor Svihovec and Brady Johnson of Legacy triumphed over Max Mecham and Mac McDonald in a thrilling match, 6-4, 4-6, 10-3. However, Red River's duo of Kevin Martinez and Kyler Bydal defeated Andrew Jones and Kevin Kalb, 6-3, 6-2.

Grand Forks Red River will face Mandan (19-2 overall) next, while Bismarck Legacy's season concludes with their quarterfinal exit.
