BISMARCK - Jamestown secured a 3-2 victory over Williston in the WDA Tournament Loser Out match. Jamestown improved to 6-10 overall and 2-5 in WDA play, while Williston concluded their season at 3-14 overall and 1-6 in WDA competition.
Jamestown dominated in singles play, with Kale Backen and Rajen Bansal delivering a commanding 6-0, 6-0 win in doubles. Haden Smith and Josh Sagaser also contributed with a 7-5, 6-3 victory in their doubles match.
Aden Oettle clinched a thrilling win in the No. 3 singles match, overcoming Gavin Douglas in a super tie-break with scores of 4-6, 6-3, 10-8. This victory was pivotal in securing Jamestown's advancement in the tournament.
Jamestown will face Minot North, who hold a 3-4 WDA record and a 7-9 overall record, on October 2.
