WILLISTON - Minot North swept Williston in straight sets, 25-18, 25-16, 25-13, to secure their first conference win of the season. Minot North improved to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the WDA, while Williston remains in search of their first victory at 0-8 overall and 0-2 in the WDA.

Aven Kelly led Minot North with 12 kills and contributed 0.5 blocks. Elli Laskowski added 11 kills and a service ace, showcasing a balanced offensive attack. Brynn Francis orchestrated the offense with 33 assists, while Kate Weishaar anchored the defense with 14 digs.

For Williston, Tenasey Leisy recorded a team-high 7 kills and was a force at the net with 5 blocks. Kyah Stundal also contributed significantly in blocking with 5, while Rylee Irgens led the defense with 14 digs.

Minot North will next face Dickinson, who is 1-6 overall, on September 6. Williston will look to bounce back against Jamestown, holding a 4-3 record, on the same day.
