MINOT - Williston secured a 4-1 victory over Bismarck High in a non-conference boys' tennis match on August 22, improving their record to 1-2. Bismarck High fell to 0-3 overall.
Reed Romsaas led Williston with a strong performance in the singles matches, defeating Kallon Delorme 6-2, 7-6 (10). Kane Shannon also contributed to the singles sweep with a decisive 6-0, 6-1 win over Quinn Kleser.
In doubles action, the duo of Rhett Carns and Carter Anfinson clinched a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Max Chouinard and Quinn Roberson, while Gavin Douglas and Torsten Thomas secured the win for Williston by defeating James Wanner and Grayson Grinaker 6-2, 6-4.
Williston will face Minot North (1-2 overall) on August 25, while Bismarck High looks to rebound against Jamestown (2-1 overall) on August 26.
