MINOT - Jamestown secured a 4-1 victory over Bismarck High in a non-conference boys' tennis match on August 22, improving their record to 1-1 overall. Bismarck High fell to 0-2.
Reed Romsaas led Jamestown with a win in No. 1 singles, defeating Braxton Burkett 6-4, 7-6 (4). Aden Oettle also contributed with a hard-fought victory over Max Chouinard, 6-1, 4-6, 12-10.
In doubles, the team of Luke LeFevre and Haden Smith earned a decisive 6-2, 6-0 win over Quinn Kleser and Quinn Roberson. Rav Bansal and Rajen Bansal continued the momentum for Jamestown with a 6-2, 6-2 victory against Andrew Wanner and James Wanner.
Bismarck High will look to bounce back in their next match against Williston on August 22, while Jamestown prepares to face Bismarck Legacy, who are 1-0 overall.
