MANDAN - The Mandan girls swim and dive team secured a commanding victory over Jamestown with a final score of 136-50, improving their record to 6-3 overall and 5-3 in the Western Dakota Association. Jamestown remains winless at 0-9 overall and 0-5 in the conference.
Mandan's Emma Masseth led the way with a standout performance, winning the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:22.96. Catherine Lindsey also shone for Mandan, capturing first place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:04.80. Corrine Lindsey contributed significantly with a victory in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking in at 6:05.51.
Jamestown's Mia Berndt displayed determination, finishing second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 6:34.57. Adelina Domkova also had a strong showing, securing second place in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:20.80.
Mandan's depth was evident in their relay performances, with the team winning the 200-yard medley relay in 2:02.05 and the 400-yard freestyle relay in 4:05.55. Jamestown will look to regroup, while Mandan awaits their next scheduled meet.
