MINOT - Minot North edged out Williston 3-2 in a thrilling boys' tennis match to kick off their seasons. Minot North now holds a 1-0 record, while Williston starts at 0-1.

In singles play, Brayden Callahan secured a victory for Minot North with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Kallon Delorme. Parker Vigestad also contributed to Minot North's success, overcoming Kane Shannon 6-4, 6-2.

The doubles matches were tightly contested. The duo of Colton Griffith and Lucas Griffith clinched a crucial win for Minot North, defeating Rhett Carns and Carter Anfinson 3-6, 6-2, 15-13. Peyton Opp and Carter Fry added another victory in doubles, prevailing 6-1, 2-6, 10-7 against Brennan Delorme and Torsten Thomas.

Minot North will face Bismarck Century next, while Williston prepares for a matchup against Bismarck Legacy.
