BISMARCK - Minot High secured a commanding 8-1 victory over Bismarck Century on Thursday at Sertoma Courts. With this win, Minot improved to 15-5 overall and 5-2 in the Western Dakota Association, while Century moved to 8-8 overall and 4-3 in the WDA.
Minot's Ryan Mullally led the way in singles with a decisive 6-4, 6-0 win over Nolan Moore. Oliver Thompson also contributed significantly with a 6-4, 6-3 victory against Cullen Satrom. Connor Ressler added to Minot's success by defeating Conner Michela 6-1, 6-3.
In doubles play, the Minot duo of Moore and Henrik Evanoff showcased resilience, overcoming Mullally and Satrom 1-6, 6-4, 12-10. Thompson and Tyson Barden also secured a straight-set victory, 6-3, 6-3, against Michela and Mason Wagendorf.
Looking ahead, Minot will face Jamestown, which holds a 2-4 WDA record, on October 2. Bismarck Century will compete against Fargo Davies, currently 2-1 overall, on September 26.
