MINOT - Minot defeated Williston 6-1 in a non-conference boys' tennis match on Thursday, improving their record to 14-4 overall and 4-1 in the WDA. Williston fell to 2-9 overall and 0-3 in the WDA.

Minot showcased strong performances in singles, with Oliver Thompson leading the way by defeating Kane Shannon 6-1, 6-0. Connor Ressler also contributed with a decisive 6-0, 6-0 victory over Carter Anfinson.

In doubles, the Minot pair of Moore and Tyson Barden secured a win against Kallon DeLorme and Evan Fisher, 7-6 (4), 6-4. Williston's lone victory came from Aiden Bye and Owen Sundahl, who won their match 6-3, 6-1.

Minot will next face Bismarck Legacy (10-4 overall, 4-0 WDA) on September 23. Williston is set to play Bismarck Century (6-7 overall, 2-2 WDA) on September 19.
