MINOT - Minot edged Bismarck Legacy 4-3 in a tightly contested boys' tennis match on Tuesday at Hammond Park. Minot improved to 3-1 overall, while Legacy moved to 2-2.

The singles matches were evenly split. Connor Svihovec secured a win for Legacy, defeating Nolan Moore in a three-set battle, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1. Oliver Thompson also contributed with a straight-set victory over Brady Johnson, 6-3, 6-3.

In doubles play, Minot clinched the match by winning two of the three contests. Kaine Bertsch and Blake Burckhard delivered a strong performance, overcoming Easton Hustad and Brexton Jones 6-2, 6-2. Calvin Olson and Owan Sundahl also added a win for Minot, defeating Patrick Bellsolell and Lake Soto 6-3, 6-3.

Legacy will look to rebound against Minot North (1-3) on August 28, while Minot prepares to face Bismarck (0-3) on the same day.
