Mandan defeats Valley City, 5-0

VALLEY CITY - Mandan secured a decisive 5-0 victory over Valley City, improving their record to 9-1 overall. Valley City remains winless at 0-3.
Matthew Christen led the way for Mandan with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Cole Haugen in singles play. Deklan Wollschlager followed suit, defeating Colin Hoff in a closely contested match, 6-4, 7-6.
In doubles, the Mandan duo of Jared Christen and Eli Kleinknecht overcame Quin Kruger and Kellen Westman in a thrilling three-set match, 6-2, 2-6, 10-7. Lucas DeRosier and Deven Birdine also contributed with a 6-4, 6-3 win in their doubles match.
Mandan looks ahead to their next match against Fargo Davies, who hold a 1-0 record, on September 12.
