MANDAN - Mandan edged out Minot North 4-3 in a tightly contested boys tennis match, improving to 5-0 overall while Minot North fell to 1-6.

Matt Christen led Mandan in singles play with a hard-fought victory over Colton Griffith, winning in straight sets 7-6 (5), 7-6 (3). Brayden Callahan also secured a singles win for Mandan, defeating Lucas DeRosier in three sets, 6-1, 6-7 (5), 6-3.

Mandan's doubles teams were dominant, with Jared Christen and Brandon Johnson winning 6-0, 6-1, and Deklan Wollschlager and Ben Sayler also claiming a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Adam Walker and Jack Koenig completed the sweep with a 6-3, 6-0 win.

Minot North will face Minot on September 3, while Mandan prepares to host Bismarck on September 4.
