MINOT - Mandan opened their season with a decisive 5-0 victory over Bismarck Century in a non-conference boys' tennis match. Mandan now stands at 1-0 overall, while Century starts the season at 0-1.

In singles play, Jared Christen led Mandan with a strong performance, defeating Ryan Mullally 6-3, 6-4. Lucas DeRosier also secured a win for Mandan, overcoming Cullen Satrom 6-1, 6-2. Ben Sayler completed the singles sweep with a commanding 6-0, 6-0 victory over Mason Wagendorf.

The doubles teams from Mandan continued the momentum. Matt Christen and Deklan Wolshlager defeated Hayden Parent and Conner Michaela 6-4, 6-4. Donovaen Birdine and Eli Kleinknecht rounded out the match with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Jacob Gross and Teddy Andrist.

Mandan will look to continue their winning ways against Jamestown, while Bismarck Century will aim for their first win of the season against Minot North.
