JAMESTOWN - West Fargo Sheyenne defeated Jamestown 8-1 in a non-conference boys' tennis match on September 6, improving their record to 4-0. Jamestown now stands at 4-4 overall and 1-2 in the WDA.

Leighton Heick led the Mustangs with a strong singles performance, defeating Luke LeFevre 6-4, 6-3. Nick Angus added to the team's success with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Braxton Burkett. Tyler Duffy was dominant in his match, winning 6-0, 6-0 against Aden Oettle.

In doubles, Jamestown's lone victory came from the duo of LeFevre and Burkett, who won a closely contested match 6-4, 7-6 (5) against Jordan Clemenson and Tyler Duffy. The Heick brothers, Leighton and Beckett, secured another win for Sheyenne with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph over Oettle and Kale Backen.

West Fargo Sheyenne will next face Williston on September 12, while Jamestown prepares to host Minot North on September 11.
