WILLISTON - Jamestown edged Williston 5-4 in a closely contested boys' tennis match on September 5, 2025, improving their record to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the Western Dakota Association. Williston fell to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the WDA.
In singles play, Jamestown's Luke LeFevre secured a decisive victory over Kallon DeLorme with scores of 6-4, 6-1. Brock Burkett also contributed to Jamestown's success by defeating Kane Shannon 6-1, 6-1. Aden Oettle clinched another win for Jamestown against Gavin Douglas with a 6-2, 7-5 result.
Williston's Carter Anfinson showcased resilience by winning a three-set battle against Kale Backen, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. In doubles, the Jamestown duo of LeFevre and Burkett dominated DeLorme and Shannon with a 6-3, 6-0 victory.
Jamestown will face West Fargo Sheyenne (1-0 overall) on September 6, while Williston prepares to host Minot (1-0 WDA, 7-1 overall) on September 9.
