BISMARCK - Bismarck Legacy edged out Bismarck Century 4-3 in a closely contested boys' tennis match on September 11 at Sertoma Courts. Legacy improved to 8-3 overall and 3-0 in the WDA, while Century dropped to 4-6 overall and 2-1 in the WDA.
Connor Svihovec led Legacy's charge in singles play with a hard-fought victory over Ryan Mullally, winning 7-5, 4-6, 6-0. Brady Johnson also contributed with a straight-sets win against Cullen Satrom, 6-2, 7-5.
In doubles, the pair of Carter Madison and Andrew Jones secured a crucial win for Legacy, defeating Conner Michela and Mason Wagendorf 6-2, 7-5. The duo of Teddy Andrist and Jacob Gross added another victory for Century, overcoming Kevin Kalb and Patrick Bellsolell 6-3, 6-2.
Legacy will face Fargo North (0-0) on September 12, while Century will compete against West Fargo (0-2) on the same day.
