MINOT - Minot North secured a 7-2 victory over Bismarck High in a Western Dakota Association boys' tennis match on Thursday. The win improved Minot North's record to 6-8 overall and 3-4 in the WDA, while Bismarck High fell to 1-16 overall and 0-7 in the conference.
Reed Romsaas led Bismarck High with a hard-fought win in the No. 1 singles match, defeating Colton Griffith 7-6 (2), 6-2. Romsaas also teamed up with Quinn Kleser to secure Bismarck's second win of the day in the No. 1 doubles match, overcoming Brayden Callahan and Lucas Griffith 6-4, 7-5.
Minot North's dominant performance was highlighted by Brayden Callahan and Lucas Griffith, who both secured convincing singles victories. Callahan defeated Max Chouinard 6-0, 6-0, while Griffith matched that scoreline against Miles Hanson. In doubles, the pair of Parker Vigestad and Reece Blikre won their match 6-0, 6-0 against Hanson and Seth Petersen.
Minot North looks ahead to their next match against Bismarck Century, who hold a 4-3 WDA record. Bismarck High will face Bismarck Legacy, who are undefeated in the WDA, on October 2.
