BISMARCK - Jamestown defeated Bismarck 8-1 in a Western Dakota Association boys' tennis match. The Blue Jays improved to 5-8 overall and 2-4 in the WDA, while the Demons fell to 1-11 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

Luke LeFevre led Jamestown with a commanding singles victory over Reed Romsaas, winning 6-3, 6-2. Braxton Burkett also contributed with a 6-2, 6-1 win against Max Chouinard. Aden Oettle secured a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win against Quin Kleser.

In doubles play, the team of LeFevre and Burkett excelled, defeating Romsaas and Chouinard 6-1, 6-1. The duo of Haden Smith and Kale Backen added another win for Jamestown, overcoming Miles Hanson and Quin Kleser 6-2, 6-1.

Jamestown will face Mandan, who holds an impressive 11-1 overall record, on September 26. Bismarck looks to bounce back against Bismarck Century on September 18.
