JAMESTOWN - Jamestown defeated Bismarck 5-2 in a non-conference boys' tennis match, improving to 3-1 overall, while Bismarck fell to 0-4.
In singles play, Jamestown's Aden Oettle secured a commanding victory over Miles Hanson with scores of 6-2, 6-0. Reed Romsaas also contributed to Jamestown's success by defeating Brock Burkett 7-5, 6-3.
Bismarck found success in singles with Andrew Wanner's victory against Brennan Barnick, taking the match 6-2, 6-4. However, Jamestown's doubles teams swept all three matches, with Luke LeFevre and Kale Backen winning 6-2, 6-4 against Max Chouinard and Quinn Roberson.
Bismarck will look to rebound against Minot (3-1) on August 28, while Jamestown prepares to face Bismarck Century (1-3) the same day.
